Since 1878 Daum have been crafting world-renowned beauty in lead crystal using rare and ancient glassmaking techniques. The ‘lost wax’ method adopted by Daum is so called because the original wax sculpture is melted away leaving a perfect mould, into which glass crystals or ‘Pate de Verre’ can be poured.

Subtle colour variations appear in each unique piece during the firing process, which can take from ten days to several weeks, after which every piece is smashed out of its own mould.

The artisans at Daum are able to capture both fine details and subtle contouring, and each glass sculpture will radiate with light and colour, making it a beautiful addition to any home, and the perfect gift.
